SICE joins one of the most important tolling events in the world: 2023 IBTTA Tolling Summit in Athens, Greece

SICE, a global leader in technology solutions for road infrastructure and tolling systems, will participate in the prestigious Global Tolling Summit 2023 organised by the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA). The event will take place in Athens, Greece, from 11 to 14 November 2023, in a setting that combines the cultural richness of the historic centre of Athens with the sophistication of the Athenian Riviera.

The Global Tolling Summit is one of the most important events in the world of tolling and road infrastructure, bringing together leaders from around the globe to shape the future of transportation. Over four days, participants will have the opportunity to explore the most important ideas and trends that are revolutionising the industry through dynamic presentations and enriching discussions. In addition, they will gain valuable insights into cutting-edge global projects, ranging from tolling technology to sustainable mobility initiatives.

SICE, with its expertise and commitment in developing technological solutions for road infrastructure and tolling systems, joins this platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. The company will be part of this global conversation on the future of transport and will share its own innovations and solutions with the international community.

During the event, visitors to the SICE stand will be able to discover its main innovations in the following areas:

  • Intelligent Toll Systems: SICE offers highly efficient traditional and Free Flow toll solutions (both at CSR and Back-Office level), based on our worldwide production systems base and adapted in a modular way to the needs of our customers, which improve the user experience and optimise the management of toll collection on motorway, tunnel and bridge networks. In all its electronic toll projects, SICE offers top-level technology, incorporating new advances in all projects, such as the recent incorporation of LiDAR systems for the volumetric classification of vehicles, as well as the ability to interconnect with other third-party subsystems. SICE’s tolling systems are agnostic to the instrumentation selected for the road system. This allows it to offer functional and efficient solutions for projects thanks to the flexibility of injecting new ideas and state-of-the-art equipment into the system without varying its basic technology.

  • Asset Management: SICE is a leading technology integrator able to offer global solutions for asset management that contribute to improving road safety, reducing congestion and increasing mobility on the roads. SIDERA’s in-house developed software has been installed on more than 350 km of tunnels and interurban roads worldwide.
  • Advanced traffic management in road networks: SICE provides advanced solutions for the integrated management of road infrastructures, including accident monitoring and control systems that enable more accurate and efficient decision-making to maintain efficient flow on highways. In addition to providing road information to other emergency response and support systems, this system provides real-time information to drivers through dynamic road messaging systems. Its operator interfaces allow a natural interaction with the system, which enables easy and fast response in both emergency situations and daily traffic control on the motorways.
