SICE implemented the SAICA in 1995 and the SAIH in 2004. Between then and 2015 it operated and maintained both systems. The main objective of the system is to capture, transmit, process and present information on the hydrological and hydraulic status of the Miño-Sil river basin to assist both in the management both of the available resources, and the monitoring and prevention of floods.
