In April 2017, Via Expresso asked SICE to collaborate in the design of new solutions for the tunnel safety and control system. SICE and Via Expresso worked in multidisciplinary teams to design a new technological safety solution in 52 tunnels and a new operational functionality for the Control Centre management system. The project included the migration of SICE’s existing platform to its new version, as well as a complete hardware upgrade.
