SIDERA Analytics is an open platform with an architecture based on layers and open source technological components (Open Source). Its objective is to cover the entire life cycle of Big Data: integration, storage and analysis. From an integrative vision, it facilitates decision-making and allows digital transformation processes to be carried out in integrated services and applications. In addition, it has the ability to combine heterogeneous data sources and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) processes. This makes it a key tool for the development of multidisciplinary knowledge.
The different infrastructures and their vertical SCADAs generate large volumes of data. However, these are usually managed in isolation (watertight). SIDERA Analytics seeks to significantly improve the way this data is used and shared. Its objective is to transform information into valuable knowledge. To achieve this, it implements processes based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which allows the development of advanced descriptive and prescriptive analytics capabilities.
The platform's logical architecture and technology components comply with OpenStack and Cloud Foundry open standards. In addition, they are compatible with standard container technologies, such as Dockers and Kubernetes. Thanks to this flexibility, the platform can be deployed in different environments: on-premise, cloud or hybrid. Thus, it adapts to the customer's preferences and to the needs of computing and storage. It is a multilingual platform that complies with the UNE 178104:2017 standard on Integrated Smart City Management Systems.

SICE therefore has a series of open, high-performance management tools, such as dashboards, predictive analytics and operational reports. Its powerful integrated Expert System allows for the simulation of human reasoning in the management of all data.
The technological components deployed in the data acquisition layer include ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) mechanisms. These allow you to control and automate the processes of extracting, cleaning, transforming and integrating data. This process is key to the «ingestion» of information within the Big Data life cycle. In addition, it ensures easy reuse of stored data and efficient distribution. The processed data can be used in artificial intelligence (AI) layers or in the user support and analysis layer. The latter has a unified GIS-BI (Business Intelligence) interface, which facilitates visualization and analysis.

To achieve this, it employs secure and managed REST API interfaces, making it easy to integrate and exchange information. Thanks to this structure, new services can be developed by combining heterogeneous data sources. It also allows the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) processes, which are key to promoting multidisciplinary knowledge.
