SICE Australia is looking for a Project Engineer in NSW. The ITS Project Engineer will be mainly responsible for planning and producing part of the design documentation of the ITS subsystems assigned by the Design Manager and ITS Lead, and the related documentation such as system integration, drawings, configuration, testing and commissioning test cases.

Description of Responsibilities:

· System implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning

· Develop and manage the systems technical documents/reports and asset register, ensuring the systems meet the project requirements and the documents meet exemplary quality standards

· Develop specific design/configuration/testing items or subsystems as required by the ITS Lead, Design Manager or Testing and Commissioning Manager

· Interfacing with cross disciplines and external information and documents

· Liaising with client and third-party vendors on aspects of the design and construction

· Review of vendors’ specifications, technical information, data sheets, quotes, etc.

· Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule

· Work collaboratively from the project testing facility, office & from home (during business hours) as needed to comply with project requirements


Required Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of engineering or equivalent experience

· Experience in planning, development, design, integration and delivery of technology within ITS/Tunnel projects

· Experience with ITS systems configuration, testing and commissioning

· Site/technical support experience and the willingness to conduct complex troubleshooting tasks

· Experience with Driver Advisory Signage, Tunnel Closure & Overheight Detection, Vehicle Detection & Ramp Metering, Telephones and/or Automatic Vehicle Incident Detection systems would be advantageous

Essential Competencies (knowledge, skills and attributes):

· Knowledge of Communication Networks

· Knowledge of ITS devices and systems, cabling requirements

· Knowledge of process instrumentation and devices

· Problem solving ability

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

· Ability to work autonomously

· Good communications skills, both written and verbal

· Good planning, organisation and time management skills
