The DGT awards SICE the maintenance and operation of ITS facilities managed from the Traffic Management Center in Levante


The General Directorate of Traffic has once again relied on SICE to continue for another year with the development of services, works and supplies for the maintenance and operation of ITS facilities on highways controlled from the Levante Traffic Management Center (based in Valencia) and the subcenter of Albacete.

The awarded contract includes the complete management of ITS facilities and traffic control along more than 1,000 km of highway in the provinces of Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Albacete and Cuenca.

Thus, the company will be responsible for the maintenance of more than 3,000 equipment, including 224 connections, 283 television cameras, 1,204 detectors, 419 remote stations, 331 data collection stations, 82 license plate readers, 70 weather stations, 32 communications nodes , 5 PC's for reading license plates, 377 variable message panels and 51 radars.
