Madrid City Council chooses SICE for the supplying and integration of new equipment within the Comprehensive Air Quality Monitoring, Forecasting and Information System (CAQMFIS)

Madrid City Council Equipment

SICE will be the company developing the works for the supply of equipment for the air pollution collection and measurement, its installation and its implementation within the Madrid City Council’s Comprehensive Air Quality Monitoring, Forecasting and Information System (CAQMFIS).

Since several equipment composing the CAQMFIS was installed in 1998 its useful life is almost over and it does not meet the requirements included in the new Guideline 2008/5 regarding the ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe (transposed by the 102/2011 Royal Decree into the Spanish legislation).

Equipment to renew analyzes Nitrogen Oxide, Ozone, Benzene, Sulphur Dioxide, particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), a PM10 monitor as well as samples distributors, outdoor cabinets and all the auxiliary equipment required for its proper function.

The partial renovation project aims at ensuring that the analyzers installed meet the requirements of the current legislation in order to correctly evaluate the city’s air quality.
