SICE’s value added to any tunnel project consists of end to end engineering services: design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and O&M support. SICE’s main goal is to find the best fit-for-purpose solution to our clients, integrating a range of in-house and third party technologies and systems.
WestConnex 1B – M4 East:
The M4 East Project will comprise two new tunnel tubes, each with three lane carriageways. The Main Carriageways is being constructed between the eastern end of the M4 West Motorway near Homebush Bay Drive and the City West Link and Parramatta Road at Haberfield. The estimated length for this section of the tunnel is 5km.
SICE’s responsibilities in this project include the design, supply, installation (partial), system integration, testing and commissioning of tunnel Operations Management and Control Systems (OMCS).
WestConnex 2 – New M5:
The New M5 will provide twin underground motorway tunnels (9Km) from Kingsgrove to a new St Peters Interchange at the site of the old Alexandria landfill facility. The St Peters Interchange will provide motorists with connections to Alexandria and Mascot. It also includes connections to the future Sydney Gateway and M4-M5 Link. The New M5 tunnels also include underground connection points for the M4-M5 Link and the proposed Southern Connector.
SICE is in charge of the design, supply, system integration, testing and commissioning of tunnel Operations Management and Control Systems (OMCS) and the implementation of the SICE proprietary Software application called SIDERA:
Currently, SICE is seeking a Testing and Commissioning PLC engineer for Westconnex M4E and M5N projects.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and versatile PLC Automation Engineer with interest in the Tunnel Plant Monitoring and Control System (PMCS) industry.
The main responsibility will be performing testing and commissioning activities on varied tasks, such as PLCs and HMI (based on in-house SIDERA) testing execution, PLC Software development, PLC integration with all the subsystems in the tunnel, production and review of technical documentation, interfacing with subcontractors and preparing tests.
The activities will be focused from the MCC (Motorway Control Centre) and will commence in the site testing and commissioning stage Level 4 and continue with SAT (Site Acceptance Test), SIT (Site Integration Test) and UAT (User Acceptance Test) where you will be testing the equipment with plenty of hands-on experience away from your desk job.
