Application areas
We specialise in four areas
At SICE we approach projects in the traffic sector by dividing them into four major areas of application.
These areas are:

Urban traffic

SICE develops traffic-regulation and control equipment and systems in response to increasing problems in urban areas. SICE provides clients with made-to-measure solutions for each specific situation, such as:
  • The MOT system, which is a new way to tackle centralised traffic control, based on a multi-algorithm approach.
  • The IGU-MOT application, which means that regulation equipment and logic entities in the system can be managed via a user-friendly graphic interface.
  • The PC-MOT system, which allows a city-centre traffic-light network to be controlled centrally by means of links with regulator units.
Interurban traffic

Traffic between city centres and their outskirts can be streamlined without the need to increase the available infrastructures. SICE accomplishes this by developing solutions that also improve safety and provide road users with real-time information.
  • Intelligent road systems (SCI).
  • Traffic-control systems for access to major cities (SCA).
Tunnels

SICE’s integrated tunnel-management system (SGIT) allows the various subsystems that function autonomously inside a tunnel to be coordinated and managed from a control centre, via a single user environment.

The SGIT can manage operating procedures that may depend on a large number of potential circumstances.

SOS posts

SIRAC 500 is the generic name for a family of emergency and control systems used to communicate and manage a network of peripheral posts (PP) from a control centre (CC).

Calls can be generated manually or automatically from the PPs to warn the CC of many different situations, such as accidents, fires, robberies, the control of surveillance and service patrols, the presence or passage of pedestrians or vehicles, and any other event that may need controlling.
