The DGT awards SICE with the Telematics service of the Branch in charge of Mobility Management

The General Traffic Directorate (DGT) thus renews its trust in SICE after more than 12 years of service with a contract that extends its activity area and the team size.


SICE is awarded the Service of Administration and Operation of the telematics systems for the General Branch in charge of Mobility Management for the management of the traffic in real time of the DGT. The contract includes both the communications network and the databases, office automation and systems.

The DGT’s telematics service addresses work directly related to the traffic management and its events in real time, as well as incident management and special traffic operations, and the service for the Traffic Management Center at national level. These systems provide content to other DGT systems (DGT website, app for mobile devices both personal and shipped, Twitter, etc.) and integrate information from external agents such as Waze, 112, SocialDrive, and others.

After more than 12 years developing this service, DGT and SICE face the new challenge of the connected vehicle, which will face the DGT 3.0 banner project, Cloud Computing and system virtualization, always under the service approach that characterizes this organism
