Mengíbar City Council awards SICE the works contract in order to improve efficiency and energy savings in outdoor lighting facilities in the town

This project aims at replacing 1,003 points of light, regulating lighting levels, adjusting the service to the needs of citizens.

SICE will carry out the project to improve efficiency and energy savings in public lighting facilities in Mengíbar. This contract will mean a significant reduction in the consumption on public lighting facilities.

Besides replacing 1,003 points of light with LED luminaires, control equipment will be installed reducing substantially carbon dioxide emissions and annual electricity consumption.

Another priority objective within the project is to be able to regulate lighting levels according to different night schedules and streets, adjusting to the needs of citizens and adapting existing facilities to the established precepts in the energy efficiency regulation for outdoor lighting facilities.

SICE’s participation in this project is certainly a guarantee success, endorsed by the quantity and variety concerning works with similar characteristics that the company develops with outstanding results, achieving savings up 70% as for electricity consumption and 20% regarding CO2 emissions. As an Energy Services Company (ESCO) expert on public lighting, SICE has been awarded 12 new projects so far this year.
