New Catalan Railways (FGC) integrated control centre comes into service
The new FGC integrated control centre will control all lines and a faster response to any incidents. SICE develops all the multi-line integration software for the FGC control centre

The purpose of this control centre is to apply the latest technologies to respond in the shortest possible time to any breakdowns or emergencies that may occur. Catalan Railways (FGC), The new Integrated Control Centre in Rubí is the brain that allow Catalan Railways (FGC) to monitor the entire rail network in real time.


The new facilities include a 6.35 terabyte hard drive — capable of storing the same information as 10,000 CDs — and RAM hat is equivalent to 124 million printed pages. It is powered by 37 servers with 73 units that can perform 1.5 billion operations a second. The project has taken two years to complete, with an investment of €3.2 million.


SICE has developed all the multi-line integration software that will integrate the various protocols of the different equipment installed in the FGC network.
