SICE to implement the Extremadura Regional Government’s Road Capacity Plan
The Department of Development of the Extremadura Regional Government has entrusted SICE with the development, monitoring and operation of the region’s Road Capacity Plan for 2008 and 2009
October 15, 2008 //
Extremadura. Spain
This capacity plan involves collecting data on the capacity of the roads operated by the Extremadura Regional Government, which are divided into 306 sections, each of which corresponds to one capacity station.
The stations are divided into:
- 9 permanent stations
- 10 semi-permanent stations
- 17 primary stations
- 29 secondary stations
- 241 cover stations
By processing this data, the daily average traffic intensity can be obtained for each road
section, even distinguishing between cars and HGVs.
Road plans will be drawn up indicating the traffic data obtained for each of the sections.
This information will be made available to the public over the Internet.
