On 10 November the President of the Madrid Regional Government, Esperanza Aguirre, accompanied by the Regional Minister of Governance, Justice and the Interior, Francisco Granados, and the mayor of Tres Cantos, José Folgado, opened the new Integrated Security Centre, which features the latest security-systems technology.
The new centre, which has cost 2.8 million euros, has an area of 1,152 square metres on two
floors, where SICE has installed video-surveillance, access-control, anti-intruder and PA systems,
as well as a control centre and crisis room.
“The aim of this multipurpose building is for people to be dealt with quickly and efficiently
by local law-enforcement and emergency services,” Esperanza Aguirre said, adding that it was a “
model” installation where local children could learn about road safety.
