Getafe. Spain
As the result of a public tender process, Madrid's Carlos III University has awarded the contract
for the Video Surveillance and Access Control System for its Getafe campus to the SICE/ECI joint
venture, in which SICE holds a 50% stake. The contract budget is €1,030,837.36.
The aim is to strengthen and improve the current video-surveillance system at the Getafe campus, supported by a fibre-optics communications network that is also included in the contract.
Specifically, all the systems to be installed (over 120 mobile and fixed cameras, plus an access control system and intruder alarms for the Senate House) will be connected to the Security Control Centre, which in turn will be interconnected to Security Control Centre at the university’s campus in Leganés. The project includes video-surveillance-based security for all 16 buildings on the Getafe campus.
With this contract, SICE consolidates its position on the security market, maintaining the progress it has made and the confidence placed in the company by its clients.
