SICE awarded contract for a photovoltaic plant in Valdelacasa (Salamanca)
Valdelacasa District Council awards SICE a contract to supply and install a photovoltaic plant worth €5,760,000
April 9, 2008 // Valdelacasa (Salamanca). Spain

The original project consists of installing 2,592 175-Wp panels with a rated installation capacity of 453.6 kWp.

Once the installation is complete, SICE will be responsible for managing the photovoltaic plant for an 18-year period, receiving monthly renting payments from Valdelacasa District Council.

The components of the installation have the following characteristics:

Photovoltaic generators composed of interconnected photovoltaic modules based on single-crystal silicon cells, with the following construction, mechanical and electrical characteristics measured under standard conditions: CEM: sunlight 1000 W/m2, spectral variation AM 1.5 and cell temperature 25ºC.

Inverters with maximum power point monitoring, fast communications sockets, direct network connection, integrated electrical protection, IP20 degree and LCD status-indicator screen and monitoring keypad on the front. The inverters will also have the following automatic functions:

  • Equipment set to standby at night.
  • Equipment starts up at dawn when the irradiance threshold is equivalent to 5% of the rated capacity of the inverter.
  • Interruption of power injection to the grid in case of line surges, loss of grid synchronisation or operation outside the grid frequency Hz range.
  • Automatic reconnection.
